Gem of the Highlands 5k

This is a celebration of everything that makes Norwood a true gem! Join your neighbors on November 7, 2026 to run or walk through some of our favorite streets in the beautiful presidential district of Norwood. Sponsorships help fund the race, along with improvements across Norwood Park System. To date, we’ve donated nearly $105K and hope to raise over $50K this year to increase community impact. 100% of proceeds will always go back to municipal needs and initiatives that benefit the community, with a focus on Norwood parks. Gem of the Highlands 5K first project was $16,000 to the basketball court restoration at Waterworks Park. As a completely volunteer-led organization, we will continue to focus our proceeds and donations on improving Norwood parks again this year. Just as important, we believe we created an event that residents and businesses can unite around with civic pride!
