Because You Can 5K

The Because You Can 5K is a Halloween fun run, walk and community celebration created in memory of Leslie Ungerott, an avid runner and Halloween enthusiast whose life was cut short by breast cancer. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to wear a costume, gather family and friends, and enjoy a meaningful day of movement and community. The event supports Kateswell and its Leslie Ungerott Fund, which provides direct financial assistance to Central Ohio families facing cancer. This support helps with real life needs such as housing, utilities, food, medical expenses and transportation, allowing families to focus on what matters most. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the costs of producing the race are covered. That means 100% of every registration and donation goes to helping families. Each participant will receive an official Because You Can concert inspired race shirt. What makes this race truly unique is the reason behind it. We run because we can. We walk because we can. We help someone because we can.
