SUMMARY:Wesley's Grace 5k for Adoption
DESCRIPTION:A family friendly 5k designed to celebrate\, bring awareness to\, and support the adoption process. COST is the number one reason families do not adopt. 30% of families in the U.S have considered adoption but 70% of that number are unable to follow through due to the financial burden. Adoptions can cost up to $50\,000 per child. Founded by Amy and Todd Schulze\, Wesley’s Grace (named after their adopted daughter) is a grassroots movement that encourages all to start a conversation\, share their journey\, and will provide financial assistance for those families that have it in their hearts to adopt. Race proceeds will go to our race beneficiary Adopt Together- a non profit crowdfunding platform that bridges the gap between families that want to adopt and children that need a loving home. Adopt Together believes in a family for every child. Click on the link to read more about their mission and ways they are making an impact. \nSchedule of Events\n[vc_row][vc_column width=””][timeline animation=”left-to-right”]\n[timeline_item title=”8:00 am” text=”Race Day Registration Opens”]\n[timeline_item title=”9:00 am” text=”Race Begins”]\n[/timeline][/vc_column][/vc_row] \n  \n[button id=”button_70″ size=”small” link=”https://adopttogether.org/” icon=”icon-external-link” text_color=”#0d4559″ bg_color=”#0d4559″ text_color_hover=”#ffffff” bg_color_hover=”#0d4559″]Learn More About The Cause[/button] \n[button id=”button_70″ size=”small” link=”https://www.athlinks.com/event/234061/results/Event/718764/Results” icon=”icon-external-link” text_color=”#0d4559″ bg_color=”#0d4559″ text_color_hover=”#ffffff” bg_color_hover=”#0d4559″]Race Results[/button] \n

Our mission is to provide emotional and financial support to Law Enforcement and their families throughout the State of Ohio. Police Wives of Ohio has sent out hundreds of cards and many care packages to injured Law Enforcement Officers. Our team has raised more than $6\,000 for the families of injured and families of fallen officers. For Police week PWOO members provided over 5\,000 officers with goody bags\, food\, and more to show them that we care and are proud of the hard work they put in every day with little to no thanks. For more information about Police Wives of Ohio\, please visit our website at www.policewivesofohio.org. While our past work has consistently been raised through donations\, with the growing need for support\, our budget must now be supplemented with fundraising. With that in mind\, the Mansfield Area Charter of Police Wives of Ohio will be hosting a 5K on September 8\, 2018. We can’t think of a better day to show our thanks and support for law enforcement officers in the Mansfield area! \nWe cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Donut Dash 5K. Sponsorships are being accepted to help to defray the cost of organizing the event. Funds received from sponsorships are used to purchase T-shirts for registered race participants and volunteers\, awards\, and complimentary drinks and snacks for participants. Any additional money from sponsorships will help go toward our fundraising goal of $1\,000 to support law enforcement agencies in our area. There are various levels of sponsorship for the Donut Dash 5K\, which you will find on the enclosed page. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization\, and we appreciate any donation or support you can give to us. \nWe all rely on our first responders to protect our families\, homes\, and businesses. Thank you for helping us support them in times of need. \n[button id=”button_70″ size=”small” link=”https://www.policewivesofohio.org/new-events” icon=”icon-info” text_color=”#0d4559″ bg_color=”#0d4559″ text_color_hover=”#ffffff” bg_color_hover=”#0d4559″]Race Details[/button] \n[button id=”button_70″ size=”small” link=”https://www.athlinks.com/event/245204/results/Event/744633/Results” icon=”icon-external-link” text_color=”#0d4559″ bg_color=”#0d4559″ text_color_hover=”#ffffff” bg_color_hover=”#0d4559″]Race Results[/button]

SUMMARY:Abe Weinrib Memorial 5k
DESCRIPTION:Abram “Abe” Weinrib said the secret to a long life is kindness. A Holocaust survivor\, he passed away on January 4\, 2015 at the age of 102. His gentle smile and positive outlook could often be found in the Diamond Family Fitness Center where he would work out and stay fit\, well into his 90s. He visited with friends at the JCC every day\, which kept him young and vibrant. His presence is still felt throughout the Center\, where his youthful spirit lives on. We honor his memory and love of physical fitness with The Abe Weinrib Memorial 5K and Kids Dash. \nEvent will begin and end on the back grounds of the JCC and heads out to the beautifully-paved Alum Creek Bike Trail. Strollers and walkers are welcome! The Kids Dash will immediately follow the conclusion of the 5k (roughly 10:30am). \n[button id=”button_70″ size=”small” link=”https://www.athlinks.com/event/245416″ icon=”icon-info” text_color=”#0d4559″ bg_color=”#0d4559″ text_color_hover=”#ffffff” bg_color_hover=”#0d4559″]Race Details[/button] \n[button id=”button_70″ size=”small” link=”https://www.athlinks.com/event/245416/results/Event/745261/Results” icon=”icon-external-link” text_color=”#0d4559″ bg_color=”#0d4559″ text_color_hover=”#ffffff” bg_color_hover=”#0d4559″]Race Results[/button] \n

SUMMARY:OWBC Redbud Trail Challenge
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n\nAre You Ready for the 2018 Redbud Trail Challenge?\nJoin us for what we think is the “Most Rugged and Beautiful Trail Race in Ohio”. The Redbud Trail Challenge is a grueling Trail Hike/Run to benefit Ohio Wilderness Boys Camp (OWBC). Bring the whole family to participate and choose between a 5K\, 10K\, or 20K trail course. It will be run on OWBC’s rugged 600 acre forested property located in the hills of Southeast Ohio. \nThe OWBC RedBud Trail Challenge. . .\nThe Redbud Trail Challenge will do just that: Challenge your will\, mind\, and body just to finish this course. But it will be worth every bit of energy and will-power you spend. The trail will go through 2 primitive campsites (the 5K will go through 1 campsite) which the boys built and where they reside. A few more unique features are crossing the 68′ span “Nehemiah” suspension bridge (which the boys built)\, the beautiful springtime forest lush with Redbud and Dogwood blossoms\, and huge boulders along the trail. \nThere will be 3 refreshment/first aid stations (2 on the 5K course) spread out over the course of the trail. The 10K trail is strenuous and has over 1\,700′ of elevation gain and is approximately 40% technical single track and 60% old logging trails. The 20K trail will be twice around the 10K course and is not for the faint of heart. The 5K is perfect for the whole family because it is less rugged for those who want the fun of hiking in the woods\, but not the difficulty and length of the 10K or 20K. All participants who register on or before April 26\, 2018 will receive a race t-shirt and a gift from OWBC. You also can wait to register until Race Day from 7:15 – 8:30 am (Race Day registration costs $5 more). After the event\, get refreshed and fellowship with your friends while enjoying a scrumptious meal for the whole family. All proceeds from the race will support the mission of Ohio Wilderness Boys Camp\, a nonprofit organization helping troubled boys and their families find new hope. Register today and help us help boys. See you on the trail. \nDetailed Course Descriptions\n5K Detailed Trail Description | 10K Detailed Trail Description \nHow Your Support Helps Troubled Boys…\nOhio Wilderness Boys Camp is a nonprofit organization operated from a Christian ethos and value system and exists to help bring healing to troubled boys and their families.
