The Tri CLE Rock Roll Run offers a Super Sprint\, Sprint\,  and Olympic distance triathlon\, duathlon\, and aquabike racing options.   \n\n\n\nWith distances for all ability levels\, the event provides both individual divisions to take the course on solo and relay teams to take on the race with one or two teammates.  \n\n\n\nThe event features a one transition layout at Edgewater Park. DESCRIPTION:– Register\n\n\n\n – Donate\n\n\n\n – Results\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWipe Out Cancer 5K is raising money for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation\, as the search for a cure for Multiple Myeloma. The Wipe out Cancer 5k is being organized as a fund raiser for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) and all proceeds will be donated to the organization. \n\n\n\nA little back story on the race director: \n\n\n\n“I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer in Oct 2020. Multiple Myeloma is the second most common form of blood cancer and has a 5-year survival rate of about 60%. By March of 2021\, they were able to get it into remission\, it will come back. On March 24\, 2021\, I was admitted into the James and received my dose of Chemo. On March 26\,2021\, I received some of my Stem Cells back and then was released 10 days later the cancer being in remission. It is still in remission today\, I know the cancer will come back\, as there is no cure as of today\, and this is where MMRF comes into play. They are searching for a cure for Multiple Myeloma\, but as of today\, there has been great progress in keeping the cancer in remission\, but no cure. Before the cancer\, and for the past 14 years\, I have done many races. Anything from the London Marathon to the Spartan Beast. 5k’s\, 10k’s\, 15k’s\, half marathons and 25k’s. I wanted to keep going after my treatment and 11 months after the treatments\, I was able to complete the Warmup Columbus Half Marathon and 2 weeks later the Ft. Lauderdale A1A Half Marathon. \n\n\n\nIn return for my fundraising\, I was given an entry into the NYC Marathon on November 2\,2025. This will be my 2nd World major\, with London being completed April 2024. One where kids could come and try out running events if they were new to it\, or challenge themselves to run further or faster than they had before. Maybe even get ready for their cross country season in the fall! \n\n\n\nSo what is this?\n\n\n\nA three event race series to take place in June\, July\, and August! \n\n\n\nRACE DATESJUNE 11th JULY 16thAUGUST 13thThe races will start promptly at 6:00pm in the evening\, so parents and kiddos can get to the races on time!  \n\n\n\nSounds great! It’s always good to remind athletes that it’s ok to be nervous about a race\, but just remind them that they’ll learn something from each race experience no matter how it goes. \n\n\n\nAthletes should try to make their decision before the race if possible\, but if they need to switch after doing one loop they need to immediately tell the Race Penguin timing staff so we can ensure correct results.If they are switching from the 1/2-mile race to another distance\, DO NOT START WITH THE OTHER 1/2 MILE RACERS. DESCRIPTION:– Register\n\n\n\n – Donate\n\n\n\n – Results\n\n\n\n – Facebook\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSeptember 7-13\, 2025 is National Suicide Prevention Week\, which is the opportunity to shine a special encouraging light & awareness on the topic that affects all walks of life. It sends out a clear message that there is hope and support is available. Suicide for middle-aged people\, especially men\, have the highest rate of suicide compared to other groups. 80% of all deaths by suicide in the U.S. are among men and women age 45-54. Men ages 85 and older have the highest rate of any group in the country as of November 8\, 2022. \n\n\n\nThis race benefits the Knox County Suicide Prevention Coalition\, a non-profit\, charitable organization that is dedicated to the reducing the rate of suicide in Knox County and connecting those at risk with resources and support. The volunteer-based organization offers grief support\, information on available resources and referral to community services. Knox Couty Suicide Coalition is holding its 15th annual 5k/10k walk/run on September 20th at Ariel Foundation Park\, starting at 5:00 P.M. \n\n\n\nWe will also be lighting the tower and bridge as a memorial to those we’ve lost at approximately 7:15 P.M. Families and friends are encouraged to bring a picture of their loved one to share. \n\n\n\nThe walk & run is for suicide awareness\, for those who have lost a loved one\, for those who are suffering\, and for those who want to remember. We are asking you to join us in making a difference in our community. We want to start the conversation about suicide. We strive to make this difficult topic into a common conversation subject and destigmatize the shame and guilt associated with suicide and mental health. We invite walkers\, runners\, joggers\, dogs\, and strollers of all ages to come out and participate. Even if you can’t join in the race\, come support a great cause and start the conversation.
