SUMMARY:Fast Rabbits Summer Nights Youth Race Series: August
DESCRIPTION:– Register\n\n\n\n – Results\n\n\n\n – Facebook\n\n\n\n – Instagram\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith our partners at Asics and Race Penguin\, we’re happy to bring back\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Fast Rabbits Summer Nights Race Series!!!\n\n\n\nPresented by: Asics and Race Penguin\n\n\n\nCome race with Fast Rabbits all summer long!  \n\n\n\nOne of the most frequent questions we get about Youth Running is “What are some kid friendly races that have a lot of kids running?”   \n\n\n\nWhile we can always recommend any Race Penguin event\, we thought to ourselves: there should be a kid-centered event. One where kids could come and try out running events if they were new to it\, or challenge themselves to run further or faster than they had before. Maybe even get ready for their cross country season in the fall! \n\n\n\nSo what is this?\n\n\n\nA three event race series to take place in June\, July\, and August! \n\n\n\nRACE DATESJUNE 11th JULY 16thAUGUST 13thThe races will start promptly at 6:00pm in the evening\, so parents and kiddos can get to the races on time!  \n\n\n\nSounds great! Where are the races?\n\n\n\nWe have a loop course at Glacier Ridge Metro Park. The races will start at the Dog Park area of the park (Google Maps pin here)Course Map (1 and 2 mile options)available here Course Map (1/2 mile option) available here \n\n\n\nThat’s fun! How much does it cost?\n\n\n\nIndividual events are $15.00 each\, with an optional t-shirt add-on of $10.  \n\n\n\nIf you sign up for all 3 events at once the cost is $40. \n\n\n\nThat’s a great deal for a summer of racing! \n\n\n\nAnything else I should know?\n\n\n\nOur partners at Asics will be at each event to hand out fun goodies and some snacks for pre/post run. \n\n\n\nWe’ll have some popsicles for after the race for athletes and parents to enjoy! \n\n\n\nMake sure to craft a sign at packet pick-up to help you cheer on your young athlete! \n\n\n\nWant to volunteer while your youngin runs? Click here and earn a Fleet Feet Voucher for your efforts!\n\n\n\nRace day schedule is listed below:\n\n\n\nRegistration tables open at 5:15pm(registration and PPU will be manned through 7:30pm)  \n\n\n\n1/4-mile race (5 and Under ONLY): 5:55pm1/2-mile race: 6:05pm1-mile (Grades K-5): 6:20pm1-mile (Grades 6-12): 6:35pmAll-Comer’s (Adults) Mile: 6:50pm2-mile (Grades K-5): 7:05pm2-Mile (Grades 6-12): 7:35pm(kindly note this schedule might change before race day based on registration and/or other factors) \n\n\n\nMy athlete has never raced before\, can I run with them?\n\n\n\nYes\, you can! \n\n\n\nHowever due to to course and safety limitations we must stipulate that only 1 parent of a registered athlete can run with them at a time.  \n\n\n\nOtherwise\, we ask that adults stay off the course as much as possible and let the kids have their fun! \n\n\n\n Oh\, What about Packet Pick-Up? Where/when will that be?\n\n\n\nPacket pick-up will be at the Fleet Feet Lewis Center location (google maps address here) \n\n\n\nThe event series packet pick-up will be at Fleet Feet Lewis Center.PPU Dates/Times are as follows:Wednesday June 11th 11am-5:15pm \n\n\n\nWednesday July 9th 11am – 5:15pm \n\n\n\nWednesday August 13th 11am – 4:30pm \n\n\n\nWill there be on-site Race Day registration and/or Packet Pick-Up?\n\n\n\nWe will have race day registration\, and packet pick-up!If you are registering on-site on race day\, be sure to bring your phone and/or credit card as our friends at Race Penguin will have a QR code to sign up using your phone.Volunteers may be able to assist you by walking you through on your phone\, but may not be able to help sign you up. \n\n\n\nHow do I choose the distance my athlete will race? Can they switch distances? \n\n\n\nSure thing! We understand that young athletes have their ups and downs just like adult athletes. It’s best to talk with your athlete multiple times before race day to see what distance they’d like to run. Try to ask them if they’d like to beat their previous best mile time\, or try a new distance. It’s always good to remind athletes that it’s ok to be nervous about a race\, but just remind them that they’ll learn something from each race experience no matter how it goes. \n\n\n\nAthletes should try to make their decision before the race if possible\, but if they need to switch after doing one loop they need to immediately tell the Race Penguin timing staff so we can ensure correct results. If they are switching from the 1/2-mile race to another distance\, DO NOT START WITH THE OTHER 1/2 MILE RACERS. Please see the Race Penguin staff before the start of the race you’re planning on racing so they can switch you. \n\n\n\nYou will select your distance FOR ALL THREE EVENTS during registration. If you need to switch a distance for a particular event\, please reach out as soon as possible. \n\n\n\nBring a used piece of athletic equipment to any of the races\, and receive a portion of your race fee refunded!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re partnering with Leveling the Playing Field a wonderful organization that collects new and lightly used athletic equipment to expand access in youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities in central Ohio. We’ll have collection bins at each of the races\, so please bring some lightly used or new athletic equipment for us to collect together! \n\n\n\nWe’ll collect your registration information and issue the refunds after the races!Click here to view their website and learn more! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n – Register\n\n\n\n – Results\n\n\n\n – Facebook\n\n\n\n – Instagram\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

SUMMARY:Wipe Out Cancer 5K
DESCRIPTION:– Register\n\n\n\n – Donate\n\n\n\n – Results\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWipe Out Cancer 5K is raising money for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation\, as the search for a cure for Multiple Myeloma. The Wipe out Cancer 5k is being organized as a fund raiser for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) and all proceeds will be donated to the organization. \n\n\n\nA little back story on the race director: \n\n\n\n“I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer in Oct 2020. Multiple Myeloma is the second most common form of blood cancer and has a 5-year survival rate of about 60%. By March of 2021\, they were able to get it into remission\, it will come back. On March 24\, 2021\, I was admitted into the James and received my dose of Chemo. On March 26\,2021\, I received some of my Stem Cells back and then was released 10 days later the cancer being in remission. It is still in remission today\, I know the cancer will come back\, as there is no cure as of today\, and this is where MMRF comes into play. They are searching for a cure for Multiple Myeloma\, but as of today\, there has been great progress in keeping the cancer in remission\, but no cure. Before the cancer\, and for the past 14 years\, I have done many races. Anything from the London Marathon to the Spartan Beast. 5k’s\, 10k’s\, 15k’s\, half marathons and 25k’s. I wanted to keep going after my treatment and 11 months after the treatments\, I was able to complete the Warmup Columbus Half Marathon and 2 weeks later the Ft. Lauderdale A1A Half Marathon. \n\n\n\nIn return for my fundraising\, I was given an entry into the NYC Marathon on November 2\,2025. This will be my 2nd World major\, with London being completed April 2024. I intend on making this an annual event and hope that many will run\, to show their support for the MMRF and their research to find the cure for Multiple Myeloma.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrice Schedule5KVirtualThrough June 14th$40$60June 15th-June 29th$45$60June 30th-July 13th $50$60July 14th-August 10th$55$60\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule of Events7:30am: Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup Begins9:00am: 5k Run / Walk Begins\n\n\n\n\n\nSWAG \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMedals! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Map \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAwards \n\n\n\nTop 3 Men and Top 3 Women \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n – Register\n\n\n\n – Donate\n\n\n\n – Results\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

SUMMARY:Swartout Challenge Time Trial
DESCRIPTION:The 10.2 mile course is on a lightly traveled road with smooth to semi-rough pavement. The route rolls uphill from the start gaining less than one hundred feet. This is followed by a short\, rapid dip and back up before the flattest downward stretch heading towards the final uphill finishing kick. The road is not closed to traffic but typically is very lightly travelled at this time. If there is a lot of rain we will do our best to accommodate you.  The driveway to the tap room\, race start\, etc is gravel. Prepare accordingly. We will be using the farm house at the start/finish area for morning check in. If you would like to wear regular shoes or boots to get from the parking area to the start/finish you can leave a drop bag with us at the house until your race is over. \n\n\n\nThe awards ceremony\, food trucks\, and all after race celebrations will be held at the taproom.  \n\n\n\nFor complete information regarding the Kentucky Open Road Race Series\, please visit the race website. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n – Race Website\n\n\n\n – Register\n\n\n\n – Race Results\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
