SUMMARY:Can't STOP Won't STOP Running - Summer Mile Club
DESCRIPTION:  \nCan’t STOP Won’t STOP Running.  Regardless of your running ability\, we challenge you to challenge yourself and go beyond your limits.  Run or walk\, this is not about the fastest\, but those that can remain consistent and endure over 10 weeks. Runners will log their miles on Strava between June 1\, 2020\, and August 9\, 2020\, after which time\, all runners that complete over 200 miles will have their name added to the back of the t-shirt.  The question isn’t will you challenge yourself\, but how far will you push your limits. The answer remains to be seen; where will your name fall? \nMake sure you click the Strava link below and join our club. We will be tallying miles off the clubs page weekly\, and updating a leader board each Monday.  Your shirt will be mailed out the week of August 17th – once final miles are calculated and the shirts are ready. Final leader board will be up on August 10th. \n\nDon’t Have STRAVA\, and don’t want to signup – that’s fine… We’ll email out a form that can be submitted with your miles. \nGoal mileage tiers for the 10 week period will be as follows: \n100 miles (10miles/week) \n200 miles (20miles/week) \n350 miles (35miles/week) \n500 miles (50miles/week) \n750 miles (75miles/week) \n1\,000 miles (100miles/week) \nWe ask you to select a goal mileage during registration. SUMMARY:4 x 1 mile x 2 hours Team Challenge
DESCRIPTION:We love virtual events. But\, there’s so much we miss about racing… \nThe course… \nThe timing… \nThe competition… \nThe team… \nHere’s our take on a race challenge that will allow you and your team to compete for Citywide bragging rights. \nTHE RACE\nRace in person on a set course\, get true timed results\, all while meeting social distancing guidelines. \nThe race is $100.00 per team (4 runners @ $25/each). You must register all 4 people at the same time. Everyone must be in the same race (mens/women/coed)\, and you must put everyone on the same team. \nWhen you register for the race you will select a time slot. During that time slot your team will be the only 4 people on race site. Your team will rotate through a 1 mile loop course\, each person takes a turn\, then another\, then another\, then another.  Completing as many laps as they can during the 2 hour window.  You will run with a track baton that contains an timing chip.  Your laps will be counted electronically\, and results will be updated as each team finishes.  We will even capture finisher photos for each member of each team!! \nRace will be scored as men’s teams\, women’s teams\, and co-ed teams (2 men\, 2 women). We’ll also have masters category (all members age 40+) of each division.  Let’s have some fun with this and see who’s the fastest in Columbus. \nTIME SLOTS\nMay 22nd – 31st \nEach Day (weekends and weekdays) the following time slots will be available \n6:00-8:00am \n9:00-11:00am \n12:00-2:00pm \n3:00-5:00pm \n6:00-8:00pm \n5 slots per day for 10 days. Packed with the dead lurking throughout the course\, these characters are waiting for the perfect moment to cause your adrenaline to pump. Whether they are popping out of places or all out chasing\, there will be a horde of riZen dead to keep you on your toes\, as well as entertained. Can you endure the race spotless from the grasp of the dead (Ephesians 2:1-5)? \nA white race day t-shirt will be given to all participants\, in which they will be challenged to keep spotless until the end of the race. DESCRIPTION:  \n \nColorectal cancer is on the rise in individuals born after 1990. Join us on October 6th to bring support and hope to all of those whose lives have been turned upside down by this cancer. Proceeds benefit local and national cancer organizations. A portion of the proceeds help to illuminate the Leveque Tower in blue during the month of March\, which is colorectal cancer awareness month. \nThe full 5k race course winds through tree-lined streets.
