SUMMARY:Thanksgiving Wattle
DESCRIPTION:The 2022 Wattle will take place on Grove City\, Ohio’s Buckeye Parkway. This will be our 11th Consecutive Wattle. We plan to offer a:Primrose Children’s Run; Turkey Leg 100 Run; 5K Walk/Run; and a 13.4  Mile Rotisserie Roll Bike Ride.  All of this is set for November 24\, 2022. \nParticipants in the Turkey Leg 100\, 5k Run/Walk and 12 Mile Rotisserie Roll Bike Ride will receive a Pumpkin Pie at the Finish. Long sleeve Shirts will also be given out at Event Week packet pick up. We will have music on the course\, at the Finish Line and we will offer Finish Line Refreshments. There will be no water station on the course. NEW IN 2022; Finisher Medals will be available for $5 as an add-on item only. 750 in total were ordered. As of 10/1/2022\, 600 remain inventory. This will help us keep our base pricing unchanged for 9 straight years\, and only purchase for those who desire it. BACK from 2020: We had a limited Wattle due to COVID in 2020\, that year we offered a sweatshirt and many of our customers liked it\, we will bring the sweatshirt back this year as our Long Sleeve Shirt for the 5K/ Rotisserie Roll and Turkey Leg 100. FINALLY: To be an event that is valued and available to the broadest family audience\, we will have athletes of all abilities\, some with visible and invisible disabilities accommodated at our event. We ask for your understanding and support as this is a key driver as to why we are not allowing pets to participate. Each race will complete a series of 15-mile laps through the countryside\, with sprint points awarded at the end of each lap. DESCRIPTION:Join The Learning Spectrum and Learning 4 Life Farm for the third annual TLS Alpaca Trot to benefit Learning 4 Life Farm job training for autism. We’re returning this year with a 1 mile fun walk/run AND a 5k trail run at beautiful Infirmary Mound Park in Granville. Kids\, families\, walkers and runners welcome! Invite your family and friends to sponsor you to help us build our job training farm for teens and young adults on the autism spectrum. And don’t forget your custom-made TLS Alpaca Trot Tshirt\, designed by a TLS student on the autism spectrum in our annual Tshirt Design Contest. 5k registration fee includes a Tshirt\, and 1 mile participants can order a Tshirt as an add-on. We also work to support women who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer\, as well as their family members. \nOur vision is to have the best volunteer workforce that embraces our core values and mission. We work with people touched by ovarian cancer to help communicate our mission. Our brand is based on integrity and credibility. Our plan is to grow by welcoming more volunteers for committee positions and organization events.
