Like mud?  Like fun with a challenge?  Want to support community service projects?  The “CRAWL. CLIMB. RUN.” has it all!

Run an obstacle course then hose off and enjoy delicious food and cold refreshing beverages while celebrating with teammates and friends.  Help each other through the course, wear costumes (prize for the best) and have fun!  Entry fees are $20 per person, or $75 per 4 person team, plus bring items for Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Homeless Families Foundation and homeless shelters.

Participants face a shorter, but challenging obstacle course that promises to be an experience to remember, and while it may be somewhat demanding, have fun and support a good cause. You may run it individually or as part of a four person team, and team members may help each other get through the obstacles. Wear costumes if you like and a prize will be awarded for the best one.

This course has a little bit of everything, and after completing it, we hope you will smile, hose off and stick around to enjoy food and beverages as you share stories with friends, family or teammates about your experiences on the course. Music will be playing, food trucks will be on hand, and donation items you bring will directly benefit the following Central Ohio charitable organizations:

  • Non-perishable food items will benefit Mid-Ohio Food Bank
  • Children’s books will go to Homeless Families Foundation
  • Soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and clothing will be distributed to Columbus homeless shelters

When you register, you will be asked to sign up for a wave. It is important that you and your teammates select the same wave. If you do not select the same wave, one will be selected and assigned for you.

If you do not have 4 people to complete a team, you will be automatically paired up with a few other great obstacle racers to make a 4 person team. Don’t worry, they will be just as dirty as you. Waves will fill first come first serve.

Columbus Rotary Club

Proceeds from this event will benefit Columbus Rotary Club and help fund community service projects. For more than 100 years, Columbus Rotary Club has engaged in activities that have enriched the lives of Columbus and Central Ohio residents through member donations of time, money and other resources in pursuing our motto of “Service Above Self”. This race will also benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Homeless Families Foundation and Homeless shelters through race participant donations of non-perishable food items, books and articles of clothing or personal care products.

Rotary projects undertaken meet a wide variety of community needs. For example, the obstacle course on which you are running was built by Columbus Rotary Club in collaboration with generous central Ohio businesses.

Educational opportunities are provided by supplying dictionaries, free of charge, to each third grade child in every Columbus public school. Columbus high school students participate in a “Service Above Self Fair” by presenting their ideas and actions for improving school and community life. Rotary Club members visit schools throughout the Columbus district and listen to student presentations, honor all students at an annual banquet, and award several college scholarships.

The holiday season brings opportunity for service and each year Columbus Rotarians respond. You will see club members ringing bells and collecting donations with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army. We also purchase, wrap, and distribute holiday gifts for children in families that otherwise might not be able to afford them.

Mentoring veterans who have completed their service to our country and returned home to pursue their college degrees is yet another area of service. Club volunteers are paired with veterans and provide mentoring, career guidance, advice, and serve as a helpful resource for these fine young men and women.

These are just a few of the many community service projects undertaken by Columbus Rotary Club members, and your race fees and contributions will allow us to continue serving and enhancing the lives of our citizens.
