Proceeds from this event are directly reinvested into Hudson’s student-athletes\, athletic teams\, and community-related programs. Our annual race now proudly partnered with Friends of Hudson Parks to celebrate our community\, parks\, and city! \n\n\n\nThe Hudson Athletic Booster Club is dedicated to providing financial support to our teams and student-athletes to further strengthen their athletic and academic success. Last year\, we proudly awarded more than $115\,000 in grant funding to fulfill coaches’ requests for team needs\, including equipment\, uniforms\, training\, and educational resources. In addition\, we provided four scholarships for $2\,000 each to outstanding student-athletes. DESCRIPTION:HALF MARATHON:The Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half Marathon begins at 7:30 AM in downtown Parkersburg and is the RRCA WV State Championship. The rolling course will take you out of the city and into the scenic surroundings of West Virginia before looping back into the commercial area. You will finish the race to the cheers of thousands of spectators lined up on Market Street prior to the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival Parade. \n\n\n\nAll participants in the Half Marathon will get a tech shirt\, pre-race pasta dinner\, finishers medal\, & post-race pizza luncheon. \n\n\n\nTWO MILE RACE:Starting line is at Third and Juliana streets at the Towne Square Parking Garage and the finish line is at Sixth and Market streets.
