SUMMARY:Knox County Suicide Prevention 5K/10K
DESCRIPTION:– Register\n\n\n\n – Donate\n\n\n\n – Results\n\n\n\n – Facebook\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParking will be available near the race starting location at the Clock House\, as well as overflow at the Tower. Race day packet pickup will take place at the Clock House starting at 1:30pm. \n\n\n\nWe will begin the afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with a remembrance vigil honoring those we have lost to suicide. Families and friends are encouraged to bring a picture to share. The walk and run aim to promote suicide awareness and support those who have lost loved ones or are grieving. \n\n\n\nThe Knox County Suicide Prevention Coalition will be hosting its sixteenth annual 5k/10k walk and run on November 15th at the Ariel Foundation Park\, 10 Pittsburgh Avenue\, Mount Vernon\, Ohio\, races starting at 3:00 P.M. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe race benefits the Knox County Suicide Prevention Coalition\, a non-profit\, charitable organization that is dedicated to reducing the rate of suicide in Knox County and connecting those at risk with resources and support. The volunteer-based organization offers grief support\, information on available resources\, and referrals to community services. We will also be lighting the bridge at approximately 5pm. Families and friends are encouraged to bring a picture of their loved one to share. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe walk and run is to bring attention to awareness and prevention of suicide. We are asking you to join us in making a difference in our community. We invite walkers\, runners\, joggers\, dogs\, children’s activities\, and strollers of all ages to come out and participate. Even if you can’t join in the race\, come support a great cause and start the conversation.
