SUMMARY:Ogden Newspapers WVU Medicine Wellness Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The 49th annual Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Run and Walk will be on Saturday\, May 29. This challenging course is well known for its changes in elevation. The Half Marathon Run and Walk will have prize categories (for male and female) for the Open division. Race towels\, bottled water and fresh fruit will be available for participants. Participants will receive one food voucher. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shirt. The race committee has determined that official race medals will be given to each finisher of the 48th annual Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Run and Walk. Rovers on the River\, presented by Play N Stay Pet Camp\, will take place at Heritage Port (approximately 1.5 miles) on Saturday\, May 29th at 11:15 AM. The walk along the waterfront on the Heritage Trail will take you behind WesBanco Arena and across the walking bridge over Wheeling Creek. The field behind Main Street Bank will contain fun obstacles for the pets\, and then it’s back over the walking bridge\, finishing on Nailers Way between the WesBanco Arena and the parking garage. Rovers on the River\, presented by Play N Stay Pet Camp\, will celebrate that special bond between humans and their four-legged friends. DESCRIPTION:The Tough as Nails Urban Challenge presented by The Health Plan is a 20+ obstacle\, 5+ mile challenge will push participants to the limit downtown in the city of Wheeling\, WV on Sunday\, May 30\, 2027. This is a true all-round physical and mental test for 16 years or older runners\, walkers\, weightlifters\, fitness enthusiasts\, and anyone in between. \n\n\n\nAcross more than six miles of body-breaking urban terrain you will traverse abandon cars\, scale flood walls\, climb your way over obstacles and claw your way up impossible inclines\, all on your way to a triumphant finish!
