The 2nd Annual The Iron Pickle 5K is ready to go\, and we can’t wait to see you there! \n\n\n\nWant more bragging rights? Add a little brine to your groove and join The Iron Pickle 5k challenge!  Carry an inflatable pickle or jar of pickles across the finish line for an extra special finisher medal.  Prove you’ve got what it takes to conquer The Iron Pickle 5k! \n\n\n\nAfter you finish\, join us for the festival to get to the heart of Canton Pickle Fest\, starting at 10 AM. Hosted by the Licking County Suicide Prevention Coalition\, this race brings together families\, survivors\, first responders\, educators\, behavioral health providers\, and community members who share one goal: saving lives. \n\n\n\nParticipants can choose to walk or run\, whether competitively or at their own pace. The event is designed to be welcoming to all ages and abilities. More than just a race\, this gathering creates space to honor those we have lost to suicide\, uplift those who are struggling\, and stand alongside individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges. \n\n\n\nThroughout the event\, attendees will have access to local prevention resources\, crisis information\, and opportunities to connect with coalition members and partner organizations. Proceeds support local suicide prevention efforts\, including education and awareness initiatives\, gatekeeper trainings\, and outreach that reduces stigma and increases help-seeking in our community. \n\n\n\nIn its second year\, the Awareness Race continues to build momentum as a visible reminder that suicide prevention is everyone’s responsibility. Whether you know someone fighting depression & anxiety or walk in remembrance of a loved one\, come and join our efforts in fighting stigma surrounding mental health and support the community’s grass roots nonprofit organization\, NAMI Richland County\, in their effort to grow education\, support\, and advocacy! \n\n\n\nThere are 3-ways to participate in this experience: \n\n\n\n1. Free family fun-day event for all at the Ontario Marshal Park. Bring the whole family for a day of fun with a bounce house\, face painting\, balloon art\, yard games\, food trucks\, a DJ and more!   \n\n\n\n2. Free sign-up for the 1-mile fun walk. The 1-mile walk does not include a bib\, nor a shirt – REGISTER FOR THE FREE 1-MILE WALK at www.namiwalks.org/richlandcounty. You are not required to help us fundraise\, but we encourage any support you’re able to provide whether that be monetary\, volunteering\, or word of mouth.
