It is a time when Swiss is queen and cheese is for all during an event known as the Ohio Swiss Festival. Women and children spend more than 4 hours walking for water each day\, and more than 840\,000 people die each year from water-related diseases. \n\n\n\nOAWWA is teamed up with Water For People to host the 8th annual Northeast Ohio Race For Global Water 5K. Here in Summit County\, the suicide rate stands at 17 per 100\,000\, or nearly 15% ABOVE the national average.  \n\n\n\nBy attending KJ’s 5k\, you can make a difference!  Join us on Saturday\, October 3rd\, 2026 to support suicide prevention and education in Summit County and help take care of homeless animals.
