The races will feature a range of distances to accommodate various skill levels and interests\, including a 50k\, 50 miler\, 100k\, and 100 miler\, all available for solo participants. Additionally\, we are offering a unique opportunity for teamwork with an 100 miler team of 6 and a team of 8 option. There are some gradual climbs and a potential creek crossing (weather-dependent) on all ten laps. There will a designated area for athletes to set up camps to get through the day. The park also has a new playground for family to get there exercise! The event is a fundraiser for the Tiffin YMCA’s backpack program which feeds many families on weekends. Athletes will receive a custom TF50k and finishers will earn a custom TF50k finisher medal. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrice Schedule50KHTF50K (Relay)*Through Aug 20th$125$150Aug 20 – Sep 12th$150$175*Teams of 2. Each individual registers at $75 / 82.5 per person\, then creates/joins a team.\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule of Events6:00am: Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup Begins7:35 am: Pre Race Meeting7:52 am: Runners Must Enter Corral8:00 am: Loop 1 BeginsLoops 2-7 will begin 1 hour after the previous loop began.\n\n\n\n\n\nLoop 7 – 10 Instructions: \n\n\n\nRACE LOOP REQUIREMENTS 7-10: (starting with loop #7\, add an hour for the other loops. For the final THREE loops) The recovery time is 2 minutes longer so plan accordingly. Getting to the corral is 2 minutes less\, plan accordingly.  2:55 – athletes must be preparing to enter/or have already entered into the corral area. There will be three short horn blasts.  2:59 – last call!! There will be one short horn blast.  3:00 – loop starts. \n\n\n\nFor the final THREE loops – you are allowed ONE pacer. It can be a different runner\,  For the final THREE loops – the cut off time is 45:00. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Scioto Trail Challenge. The Rocks and Roots Trail Runners Association invites you to join us at the Scioto Trail State Forest in Ross County. Winding forest roads with beautiful views await you on Sunday\, October 1st\, 2023. All races start at 8:00AM. \n\n\n\nDid we mention hills? For those from North Central Ohio\, it may be a little bit hilly\, thus the Challenge. You can choose from the following distances: 10 miler\, 20 miler\, and 50K. \n\n\n\nWhile out on the route keep your eyes open\, first for the scenic views\, second for the elusive wild turkeys and red fox.  \n\n\n\nThere will be plenty of parking on-site though we do suggest carpooling.
