SUMMARY:Delaware Farm Mudder
DESCRIPTION:We are having the 2020 Farm Mudder. But things will look different. Due to a variety of factors\, this\nyear’s Farm Mudder will be more of a trail run\, and less of a mud run. There will still be some obstacles\nbut it will look different than year’s past. And because of this\, we are cutting the price from $50 to $25.\nThe race will be a 5k distance event.\n(the distances won’t be exact\, but they will be close).\nOur goal is to provide a race for the running community\, and to raise some money for Harvest Hills\nMinistries (and through them\, Timbernook camps).\nWe are taking COVID-19 seriously\, so we are going to be implementing some guidelines\, and through\nthese changes\, we believe that our race will not be much different than if you were to go on a run at a\nlocal park.\nWe will have small heats (limited to 25 people per heat) every 15 minutes. We ask that you sign up with\nyour family/friends that you are comfortable being around with. And even with our heats we will space\npeople out. For example\, if the 8:30am heat has 25 people\, made up of 5 different family/friend groups\,\nthen we will let each family/friend group go and give some space between each.\nOther modifications: \nPacket Pickup will be on Friday September 4 th (4pm-8pm)\n– Keep an eye out for an email for this\, once you’ve registered\, but everything will be\nbagged and ready for you when you arrive \nAll of our volunteers will have facemasks on\, and we will have more marking on the course and\nless volunteers just to limit the amount of people on the course at the same time \nWe will have hand sanitizing stations spread out on the course \nOur water stops will be self-serve\, with small water bottles \nWe ask that you wear a face mask up to the start (you can take it off when you run). DESCRIPTION:Forever Safe Farm hosts its 5th Annual Camel Crawl 5k Mud Run Obstacle Course at 10:00 AM on July 14th on our rolling pastures at 3155 McCracken Road\, Salem\, OH 44460. Registration opens at 8:30 and Parking is at Kent State Salem Campus. A free shuttle will bring you to and from the race. \nThis 5k race is run over the hills and streams of Forever Safe Farm. This is a charity race to raise funds for the care of the over 100 animals that call Forever Safe Farm forever home. \nAt almost 20 obstacles you will enjoy the challenge. Individual obstacles have a skill level from easy to moderate. The signature obstacle “The Camel Crawl” is two humps that you have to climb up and over\, in the mud…and UNDERGROUND!!! \nExperience Hog Heaven\, the aptly named obstacle\, that will have you jumping (without success)\, wallowing\, and dragging your way out of the mud bog. The Tire Tunnel will have you on your knees crawling through truck and tractor tires suspended on chains…hope you are agile for this one!!! \nPRIZES: Every runner gets a medal but the best time gets the Grand Prize Trophy!! \nSPECTATORS: Not only is this race a blast for the runners but it is really fun to watch or come to support YOUR FAVORITE RUNNER. SUMMARY:Patriot Challenge
DESCRIPTION:[countdown year=”2017″ month=”9″ day=”23″ hour=”8″ minute=”0″] \n \nCome and compete in the Patriot Challenge\, an obstacle course designed to test your strength and endurance. \nYou and a partner will complete the course as a team. Each team will begin the race with .5 mile run to a canoe launch. You will paddle out and around a small island. After the .7 mile paddle\, teams will go through six obstacle challenges before reaching the finish line. DESCRIPTION:[countdown year=”2017″ month=”4″ day=”1″ hour=”8″ minute=”0″] \n \n[button id=”button_70″ size=”small” link=”http://rundownthedemons.itsyourrace.com/Results.aspx?id=4937″ icon=”icon-external-link” text_color=”#0d4559″ bg_color=”#0d4559″ text_color_hover=”#ffffff” bg_color_hover=”#0d4559″]Results & Photos![/button] \n  \nThe mission of Run Down The Demons™ is to address issues surrounding suicides\, post-traumatic stress disorder\, and other mental health disorders related to veterans\, active service members\, and/or their family members by providing education\, raising awareness and providing resources to those we serve. \nWatch the 2016 5k Rewind Video \nOur 5k event course is designed to be mentally and physically challenging – similar to experiencing the “unknowns” associated with PTSD. The location of all obstacles are shared with you; however\, the TYPE of obstacle that you will encounter is “unknown.” Don’t worry though\, our obstacles aren’t as physically taxing compared to other races and you are provided with the option to skip an obstacle if necessary. \n \nStatistical boards with information about veteran-related mental health complications are strategically placed throughout the course. We highly recommend that you read and remember this information because you will be quizzed on the information at one of our Mental Checkpoints. The location of these checkpoints are undisclosed purposely to provide additional experiences of the “unknown.” \n \nThe goal of this event is to raise awareness about PTSD\, suicide prevention\, and mitigating the stigma associated with these issues within our military community. We aim to provide you with a physically\, mentally\, and an emotionally difficult course with your safety in mind. Experiencing PTSD and the “unknowns” associated with it\, creates frustration and discourse in the lives of those who suffer from it.
