Whether you’re chasing a personal best\, enjoying a casual jog with friends\, or bringing the whole family for a morning of fun\, this event has something for everyone. \n\n\n\nThe morning begins at 9:00 a.m. with our Kids Trick-or-Treat Trots. Our youngest runners will race around the Creekside Fountain\, followed by a slightly longer race for elementary-aged kids around Creekside Park. Instead of water stations\, the kids will enjoy candy stations along the course\, and costumes are highly encouraged! \n\n\n\nAt approximately 9:15 a.m.\, the professionally timed 5K begins. The scenic course follows the beautiful trails along Big Walnut Creek\, where you’ll enjoy crisp autumn air\, colorful leaves\, and one of the best running routes in Central Ohio. Every participant receives a race bib\, event T-shirt\, and official race time. \n\n\n\nThe fun continues at Creekside Plaza with music\, awards\, and a festive post-race celebration. We’ll recognize the top three overall male and female finishers\, along with prizes for the three best costumes\, so don’t be afraid to show up dressed for Halloween! \n\n\n\nBest of all\, every registration and sponsorship helps make a difference. There is a Kid’s run (Little Gobbler) for ages 8 and under. There is a 5K and a 1.5 mile option for the run/walk\, and virtual option. \n\n\n\nGet ready for a scenic and festive Thanksgiving run through the heart of downtown Delaware!Your race begins and ends on charming East Winter Street\, near the library\, passing by local favorites The Strand Theatre\, 1808 and Mi Cerrito on your way to dash up historic Sandusky Street. Then it’s a smooth cruise down Wilmer before hitting an out-and-back stretch on Henry Street — a perfect place to find your rhythm. Then a unique crossing over the pedestrian bridge above Route 23\, offering epic views and a fun change of pace. From there\, it’s a final push down East Winter to the finish line celebration where it all began. \n\n\n\nThis the Thanksgiving Day tradition your family will look forward to every year! \n\n\n\nPlease note: portions of this course are coned down the middle\, maintaining traffic patterns\, so please be aware and stay inside the designed course. Sandusky Street from William to Wilmer will have the parking lane and one lane to run in (running on the far left lane). Additionally Winter Street from Lake St to Estelle St will be coned down the middle (runners on the right lane). \n\n\n\nRun for a Cause. This event donates 100% of it’s proceeds to the Autism Society Central OH (ASCO). We’ve donated nearly $232\,000 to date. DESCRIPTION:The 49th annual Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Run and Walk will be on Saturday\, May 29. This challenging course is well known for its changes in elevation. The Half Marathon Run and Walk will have prize categories (for male and female) for the Open division. Race towels\, bottled water and fresh fruit will be available for participants. Participants will receive one food voucher. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shirt. The race committee has determined that official race medals will be given to each finisher of the 48th annual Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Run and Walk. Rovers on the River\, presented by Play N Stay Pet Camp\, will take place at Heritage Port (approximately 1.5 miles) on Saturday\, May 29th at 11:15 AM. The walk along the waterfront on the Heritage Trail will take you behind WesBanco Arena and across the walking bridge over Wheeling Creek. The field behind Main Street Bank will contain fun obstacles for the pets\, and then it’s back over the walking bridge\, finishing on Nailers Way between the WesBanco Arena and the parking garage. Rovers on the River\, presented by Play N Stay Pet Camp\, will celebrate that special bond between humans and their four-legged friends.
