DESCRIPTION:Gravel Day offers unique adventures for Pelotonia participants on the scenic\, gravel roads of beautiful Southeast Ohio. \n\n\n\nGravel Day Riders can select from 11\, 25\, and 48-mile looped cycling route options through the hills of Athens County. \n\n\n\nNEW for 2025: introducing the Trail Run/Hike! Gravel Day’s newest adventure will offer a 5K looped route through the picturesque property of Snow Fork Event Center\, with runners and hikers able to complete the route twice if a 10K total distance is desired. \n\n\n\nParticipants may opt to challenge themselves to both ride and run/hike at Gravel Day. We have two exciting gravel routes: \n\n\n\nRide the Full Pounder and experience 45 miles of the best gravel riding and racing available in the mid-west. You will be treated to over 4\,500′ of climbing as you traverse the most scenic and remote sections of Ohio’s largest state park. This route option has amazing gravel\, outstanding climbs\, at least one incredible descent\, and three bridal paths (one grass-covered). Additionally\, a section of technical double track will test your bike handling skills. \n\n\n\nAre you interested in all the fun but with fewer miles? We have got you covered with the 35-mile Three-Quarter Pounder.
