Abram “Abe” Weinrib said the secret to a long life is kindness. A Holocaust survivor, he passed away on January 4, 2015 at the age of 102. His gentle smile and positive outlook could often be found in the Diamond Family Fitness Center where he would work out and stay fit, well into his 90s. He visited with friends at the JCC every day, which kept him young and vibrant. His presence is still felt throughout the Center, where his youthful spirit lives on. We honor his memory and love of physical fitness with The Abe Weinrib Memorial 5K and Kids Dash.
Event will begin and end on the back grounds of the JCC and heads out to the beautifully-paved Alum Creek Bike Trail. Strollers and walkers are welcome! The Kids Dash will immediately follow the conclusion of the 5k (roughly 10:30am).
