It is a time when Swiss is queen and cheese is for all during an event known as the Ohio Swiss Festival. Women and children spend more than 4 hours walking for water each day\, and more than 840\,000 people die each year from water-related diseases. \n\n\n\nOAWWA is teamed up with Water For People to host the 8th annual Northeast Ohio Race For Global Water 5K. The 2026 event will again offer a virtual option for supporters from around the nationProceeds are used for scholarships and the financial needs of seminarians at the Pontifical College Josephinum. \n\n\n\nSince 1984\, the Friends of the Josephinum have provided financial support to Josephinum seminarians\, assisting with the cost of tuition\, textbooks\, clothing\, medical care\, dental care\, eye care and emergency travel needs of the seminarians.
