Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self\, restoring the family unit\, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families. \n\n\n\nHeroes for Heroes is a fundraiser the Reynoldsburg Parks and Recreation Department and the Reynoldsburg Division of Police created to benefit Hope for the Warriors®.  Hope For The Warriors® (HOPE) is a national leader in driving transformative change for the post-9/11 U.S. military community including veterans\, active-duty service members\, caregivers\, spouses\, and family members. HOPE’s mission is to deliver unparalleled services that uplift individuals and their families as they navigate the complexities of military life – providing them with the stability\, strength\, and community to thrive. To learn more or further support their mission\, visit: hopeforthewarriors.org \n\n\n\nThe Reynoldsburg Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the 5K Obstacle Course where 1 to 2 person teams or individuals will compete together running an obstacle course including walls\, low crawls\, traversing through water\, mud pits\, Israeli sked pull\, and tire flips among others. Public Safety\, Military personnel as well as citizens from all over Ohio are invited to compete in this challenge. \n\n\n\nAlongside the obstacle course 5K\, Heroes for Heroes is now also offering a traditional 5K paved course. This is a paved path through Civic Park that you can run or walk. There no obstacles on this course. Run\, walk\, or simply come celebrate animals—every step helps protect pets in need. The event takes place Sunday\, September 13 at Bank Run Metro Park (1570 Rohr Road\, Lockbourne\, OH)\, with the 5K beginning at 9 a.m. and the Dog Festival featuring dog-centric vendors running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds support Columbus Humane’s Animal Cruelty Investigations\, where humane agents work year-round to advocate for\, educate about\, and rescue animals in need.
