SUMMARY:"Head For The Hills!" To Support Moreland Hills Parks
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Village of Moreland Hills is home to some prized and pristine green space. Our parks range from U.S. President James A. Garfield’s cabin and birth site to the rolling hills of the 142-acre Forest Ridge Preserve to sections of the Cleveland Metroparks South Chagrin Reservation\, all offering great opportunities to explore the outdoors. \nTo assist the Village with park maintenance\, improvement and expansion\, the Moreland Hills Parks Commission invites you to join our fundraising efforts by participating in our first annual “Head For The Hills!” virtual run/hike event. Your $30 donation will grow our Parks Fund which will aid future projects\, including the creation of a pavilion and restroom facility where a home was recently eliminated behind the fishing pond on River Road.  Donations above the registration fee are very welcome too! \nChoose your route – a 1.5-mile hike in beautiful Forest Ridge\, a 5K run on the South Chagrin trails\, or a run/hike of your own choice. All participants receive a special “Head For The Hills!” shirt\, and will be eligible for random giveaways from our sponsors\, including gift cards from Fleet Feet. \nRegister and complete your run/hike anytime between Oct 31st and Nov 8th.  Later in November\, shirts will be available for pickup at the Moreland Hills Village Community Building (instructions for pickup available following the event). \nHelp us improve and preserve our fantastic parks.
