SUMMARY:Discover Your Abilities 5k
DESCRIPTION:Franklin County Special Olympics is a competitive sports program that contributes to the physical\, social and psychological development of the athletes with developmental disabilities. This event is a major fundraiser supporting those 500 athletes in 16 sports. The DYA 5K is bringing together athletes of all abilities\, runners\, walkers and wheelers will enjoy this positive event whether it is you first 5K or too many to remember. All finisher medals are designed\, handmade and adorned by artists with disabilities. This unique wearable artwork is a one of a kind thank you! DESCRIPTION:  \n \nJoin us in walking/running in our first ever Nourish 5k on September 23 at Fred Beekman Park. Your participation will help us raise money for our reforestation and restoration project in Iquitos\, Peru. \nNourish International is a student-run organization that is dedicated to ending extreme poverty through sustainable development. We are currently partnered with an NGO in Iquitos\, Peru. By joining us in either walking/running the 5k\, you will be helping us work towards our goal of eliminating extreme poverty. The race will take place on September 23 at Fred Beekman Park.
