DESCRIPTION:[countdown year=”2017″ month=”8″ day=”19″ hour=”9″ minute=”0″] \n \nWe are excited to be bringing back our 2nd Annual New Albany 5K Color Run/Walk around the New Albany School Campus. While you are enjoying your run/walk around the scenic campus\, you will get doused many times with color at different color stations by the New Albany HS Field Hockey Team Players. We have a white shirt for you to wear for the race to catch the color and some cool sunglasses to wear to protect those baby blues! Please remember not to wear anything you would not want ruined! \nNot a runner? No worries! DESCRIPTION:[countdown year=”2017″ month=”8″ day=”19″ hour=”8″ minute=”0″] \n \nJoin us for Brookville Canoefest and enjoy family fun\, great music\, the best chicken you have ever tasted\, the art of painting paddles\, talent contests\, exhibitors\, awards\, canoeing and kayaking races and much more. \nBrookville Canoefest is always held the last Friday and Saturday in June. Canoefest is a non-profit 501C3 organization striving to bring appreciation to the sport of canoeing and kayaking as well as knowledge of the sport to better facilitate camaraderie among individuals of all ages. \nBrookville Canoefest provides a venue for the public to better appreciate the natural resources of the community and to become future stewards of the environment. \nProceeds from Brookville Canoefest benefit the entire Brookville community through enhancements to the local park system\, beautification efforts and future education programs and events. \nThere is a grant at the Franklin County Community Foundation that gives every year to the improvement and/or maintenance of the town park. \nWe have recently donated a $10\,000.00 scoreboard for the park which benefits the football teams that play there.
