Join us on November 12th for the Orange Township Annual Heroes Not Forgotten 5k Run/Walk. This is an exciting event dedicated to honor veterans. The money raised for this event will go towards the planned Orange Township Veterans Memorial that will be erected on the corner of Orange Rd and South Old State behind the old Town Hall. If you’re a veteran or family member of a veteran and just want to cheer the runners along, please join us.
Veterans Memorial
The goal is to make the memorial unique with local input. The memorial itself was designed by former Olentangy Orange High School students, Amelia Dewey. Matt Croghar and Kyle Benecke. Local Olentangy Orange High School students also came up with the theme “Heroes Not Forgotten.”
Donations
If you are unable to attend the run and would like to donate, you may make a donation in any increment through the registration page or through the Delaware County Foundation. A special fund has been established with the Delaware County Foundation, a non-profit community foundation that will manage all donations. You can visit their page at www.delawarecf.org and click on the “Donate Now” button on the home page. There is a drop down to select Orange Township Veterans Memorial.
If you’d rather send a check, please make them payable to the Delaware County Foundation: EIN #31-1450786. Please note Orange Township Veterans Memorial in the memo line of the check. Gifts should be mailed to Delaware County Foundation, 737 Enterprise Dr. Ste. A, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
