Run To Remember 5k run / walk Dedicated to the First Responders and the memory of those lost during 9/11. Race will conclude at Hilliard’s First Responders Park. This 5k race has been made possible by the Rotary Club of Hilliard with the partnership of Old Hilliard Fest.
Vowing that “we will never forget”, the City of Hilliard has constructed one of the largest memorials in the country to pay tribute to First Responders everywhere and to insure the events of 9/11 are remembered forever.
“We will never forget” is the theme that resonates with so many Americans as the great sacrifice of those who died in the shadow of the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania.
After finishing the race, runners will receive a flower in remembrance of 9/11 and will be able to place the flower at the base of the First Responders Memorial. Patriotic music will set the theme of remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11.
Concluding the race we invite all participants to enjoy Old Hilliardfest. Old Hilliardfest features live music, great food, kids games, carnival rides, a car show, and much more.
Shirt are guaranteed for registrants prior to 8/24/2018. Extras will be ordered. But, sizes and availability are not guaranteed.
We’re excited to announce a portion of this year’s race proceeds will go toward purchasing a Safety Town House for Hilliard Police’s Safety Town.
